Anthony Henley, Psy.D.

Licensed Psychologist

I am a clinical psychologist licensed in the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia. I received my M.S. in Developmental Psychology from Johns Hopkins University and my Psy.D. from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Rosslyn, Va. Additional training experiences have included workshops and presentations from distinguished clinicians and educators, such as Dr. Mel Levine.

I am registered with the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology and a member of the American Psychological Association, the International Dyslexia Association, and Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. I am currently the president of the D.C. Capital Branch of the International Dyslexia Association.

I have worked for 19 years as a learning disabilities specialist providing remediation, evaluation, and consultation services. For most of that time I worked collaboratively with Dr. Betty Levinson, a nationally regarded expert in dyslexia; I acknowledge my debt to Dr. Levinson and attempt to emulate her passionate dedication to her clients.

With Judith Block, I head the Levinson-Block-Henley Collaborative, a group of diagnosticians and academic therapists that have met since 1990 to encourage professional collaboration and support.

I have given presentations locally and nationally on the diagnosis and remediation of learning disabilities.

In 2008 I was honored as Outstanding Professional by the Atlantic Seaboard Dyslexia Education Center for my work on behalf of learning-disabled individuals and their families.
